An incredible jazz/Carnatic fusion album. Arun Ramamurthy is quite good on the ol' violin strings, if you'll pardon my eloquence. He's backed by an absolutely monstrous rhythm section, too, though. Sameer Gupta and Perry Wortman make brilliance sound almost... casual, that is how effortless their serpentine grooves feel.
If you enjoy the original incarnation of Shakti, or John McLaughlin, or jazz/Indian Classical fusion in general, you owe it to yourself to check this album out.
